Are We There Yet?
Why don’t we know where we are spiritually, at any real given time in our life? I know that it took me over forty years to even bother to know one way or the other what meaning the word spiritual had for me. We seem to look around at our world and see that we want things, we want people, we want to be noticed or valued, and yet we never seem to find a need to be more spiritual.
Some how seeking to be spiritual is not a valued commodity to have or possess. We strive to fit into our world and its system of perversion and depravity mostly in its lost and misplaced values. Somewhere in the Bible it says to be “in the world, not of the world” To me this means that we are allowed to live in this world, but not allowed to adopt its ways of thinking and living.
I am no bible scholar by any means, yet I am not totally ignorant of the message it has to give to those who truly want to find a spiritual purpose to their lives. I have written here on this web site many articles pertaining to my life and its spiritual journey, all with the hopes of helping someone make it through the hard times in their lives.
I always wonder if there are any who read my ups and downs, and can actually relate to them. Do any of the readers of my articles actually want to know any other opinions on what spirituality is? I have endeavored to explain how I see my new life; the problem may be that I have not just spent time spelling it out for the readers.
First of all, I do not see my God, my Creator, my Father in Heaven, as limited to any one gender. I would not presume to put Him in such a limited position. I know it says God created Adam in His image. Well, that could be very true, but not that this would automatically make man the same as God. To me we are only two forms of supreme beings on this planet that can think and act upon thought, so knowing God created everything else, He must be capable of creating beyond the scope of our limited minds.
I started with this explanation first because of the man verses woman battle that continues to go on today. It only shows how limited we are in our understanding of our Creator. We are so blind to our own human limitations that we start puffing ourselves up to believe we have reached some kind of inside scoop on who God really is. This has lead mankind into a dangerous position of believing in his own intellect to the point of dismissing God exists at all.
We are all faced with the questions about God, and then the guesses man puts forth with his theories and conjectures as to their validation as the real truth. We did not fall out of the sky millions of years ago and then crawl around and accidently form into some intelligent creature by chance. How do I know this as a fact? I know because there are only male and female species as the rule in plant life, animal, and human.
Had we evolved from accidental evolution as is the big bang theory, there would have been so many mutations that nothing would ever be considered the normal plan of inhabitants on this planet. There would be hundreds or thousands of different procreation possibilities, and all species on this planet would be endangered as evolution began, with a threat to those who could not adapt to change, they would then mutate again or die off leaving nothing but mutating creatures on this planet trying to survive.
Many of us would never even consider for a moment to question man’s infinite wisdom in this matter. I see that we just follow blindly to the Pied Piper and get so caught up in the music we no longer care where he is leading us. We must identify the reality of what kind of world is all around us. This means to have a new connection with your spiritual mind. Be ready to ask questions and be willing to look for an answer from a new relationship with, God.
I believe that there must be a spiritual mind for man to access to bring him out of enslavement into the light of self evident truths and forgiveness. We call finding God as being a new birth experience, new born Christian if you will. In order to really change your conditioned life there must be something new to help you grow spiritually.
This must be something that will help guide you to a higher purpose than just living for yourself, or what you can get out of life. Here is where I know most people ask themselves how can two minds exist without either recognizing the other? You do have one brain with two hemispheres. This is your physical brain.
The spiritual brain is like the soul, very powerful energy. You can cut man open on any part of his body and not find a physical soul to identify, yet those of us who love God and read His word, know that our soul is what is left after this short life on this planet is over. So, I contend that the spiritual brain is an energy that works independently from the physical brain. Can I show anyone with any proof that I am correct in my thinking? NO!
I see my world with a new vision, and my understanding of my world does not rely on my physical mind or body to validate what I have come to understand about serving my Creator. While this thinking is so off the charts of what is taught in churches and schools everywhere, it serves to keep me in balance with my seeking to become a servant of my Lord, not a slave to man’s limited vision of his Creator.
Mankind’s view of his God is not humble and subservient, it is prideful and arrogant for the most part, and leads many of God’s children into slavery. I use my heart as my guide and this allows me to be free to love God without fear of retribution. I do not believe that the way I see God is the only way to see our Creator, I just know it is my way.
