A New Generation

A New Generation

2009 has the potential to be an awesome year.  It is all in our hands.  We are coming to the end of eight years of the worst leadership that the free world has ever had to endure, but the tide has turned.  The time has come for us to join together and change the vibration of the planet.

We, as a country, have faced serious situations and major changes before and we have always risen to the challenge as a unified whole. We will be inaugurating a president in 2009 that has promised to represent all of us and seems to understand and respect that there are many points of view.

There is no right or wrong. There is just you and me, and we just disagree. We need to sit down and dialogue with those who hold a different point of view and listen to the other point of view so we can understand what is needed to find the solution to an issue that benefits everyone. Truth does have many aspects, and love is large enough to encompass them all.

As a grandmother today, I believe that I join other women of my generation in a unique situation. We are the first generation of grandmothers who have grown up with labor saving devices that have freed us from the drudgery that our grandmothers had to endure. We have the right to vote, which was won in a hard fought battle by our grandmothers. We have had the right to an education and are able to own our own property. As grandmothers, we have the freedom and the wisdom to take our place, as equals, in society and lead all women in coming up with a new paradigm for our world.

For the last 5000 years, the world has been ruled by a patriarchal culture that is not working and has brought us to the brink of annihilation. We need to return to a balance of the masculine and the feminine. Women, as a whole, are hard-wired to find peaceful solutions to problems and to network together as nurturers. We are, by nature, empathetic to all life. These are qualities that are needed if we are going to end violence against one another and our planet.

Now is our chance to learn to coexist in Peace. We need to be kind to one another and treat each other with respect. We need to recognize the oneness of all of creation

We need to replace fear; greed and hatred with trust, service and love. As a society, we need to have zero tolerance for greed and hatred. The penalty can be forced therapy and community service.

Every child on this planet has a right to have the opportunity to be become all that they can become. By helping these children, we are insuring a peaceful future.

We must insist that the media be aware of its impact on society and take responsibility for using a positive filter to inform and affect the public.

Women must reclaim their power, not to overcome men, but to take their rightful place beside them in solving the world’s problems and helping to make decisions that affect us all. Many have heard the call and have been joining together in circles that have been making profound positive changes in the world. We must all join in if we are to make a lasting change and save humanity.
